About Us - Who are we

Behind the C*I*A is a group of astrologers, philosophers, psychologists, artists, visionaries and physicians who believe the future can be positively influenced through conscious interaction with the cosmos. The Cosmic Intelligence Agency (C*I*A) is a network of individuals living around the world who share a vision of the world soul, the Anima Mundi. Agents of the C*I*A are committed to raising consciousness of the universal forces at play in our everyday world, forces which can be observed in the ceaseless cyclic movements of the cosmos.

For millennia, humans have engaged with the cosmic sphere to seek meaning and inspiration. Our relationship to the cosmos has played a major role in the evolution of consciousness and we continue to honour this connection by utilising the concept of the Anima Mundi (World Soul) to support the Hermetic doctrine ‘As Above, So Below’. ‘Anima Mundi’ is a Latin term describing the universe alive with soul and intelligence and reminds us that every part of the cosmos relates to the whole. By observing the patterns formed by past planetary alignments we can see a consistent correlation to earthly events and how they contribute to the conscious evolution of our planet. Understanding these past archetypal energies and how they have been expressed, we hope to better understand what lies ahead and prepare to steer ourselves in positive directions, personally and globally. Through the Conscious Inter Action with our Cosmos we are lifted from the arms of fate and can look to the future as a co-creative reality which can ultimately help change our physical world.

We see ourselves  as "Agents of Change - living on the edge of Chaos”. We understand that to create the changes necessary in this world it is important to understand,  that by “living on the edge of Chaos" acknowledges that we manifest our world and our reality through the random patterns of Chaos. Reality exists at the blurry edge between order and chaos and is the dance of energy, life and Chi. The past and the future, what was and what will be, patterns and randomness,  Chaos awaits instructions and at the C*I*A  we see Astrology as the cosmic link to co- creating the future, a guide to universal wisdom and cosmic intelligence.

Our Mission

Our Mission involves envisioning the co-creative future through unified thought and intention at significant astrological turning points. It is through ritual and the power of intention that we honour the sacred and make it part of our lives. We have picked the potent times of solstices, equinoxes and major planetary alignments as times to focus our intentions and to honour the Anima Mundi.

The intention of the C*I*A is to promote the understanding of humanity’s ever-present cosmic connectedness. It is our mission to unite like-minded individuals who seek to actively understand and interact with the unfolding universe. We adopt a spirit of creativity, imagination and intelligence as we attempt to better navigate the path ahead through global intention, celebration, participation and aspiration. The agency aims to bring together the studies of astrology, philosophy, science, psychology, consciousness, mysticism and the arts as a way of sharing and promoting our ideas about our place in the Cosmos and advancing the information that we feel our world needs.

Our mission is to promote astrology and create further interest and understanding of an ancient art with the ability to envelop the newest of ideas and discoveries. We aim to show  and document the  many facets of astrological knowledge, celebrate  it’s rich traditions, show  it’s numerous applications and adaptations. The Birth of the C*I*A

The C*I*A was born when Agent 12 decided to put the idea of the Cosmic Intelligence Agency into action and instead of keeping everything in her head, finally registered the C*I*A as a website name on the 23/8/2005 - The acronym C*I*A fitted for the kind of work and idea behind the project, which involved dedicated agents working behind the scenes on various projects and research, gathering information and various forms of cosmic investigations, global and personal.

čIA is also an actual word in Agent 12’s native language Lithuanian,
“čIA” (the C pronounced as a CH) - ( CHIA) means “here ” and seemed appropriate for the C*I*A.

It is from "Here" that we seek the meaning of our place in the Cosmos.
"Here" is wherever you find yourself at any moment in time or place.
"Here" is now.
" Here" is reality
What do we do about being "Here", all of us" Here" and now at this time on earth.

This was not an elected chart, but was noted at the time when the action and payment to secure the website name was made.

• The Sun in Virgo - The hidden potential - the quest to reveal and uncover, the magic, the creativity and going to places others may fear to tread. Appropriate for the service the C*I*A provides as well as our need to uncover hidden truths and meanings, share resources, merge ideas, research and all types of astro-investigations. Virgo, also linked to the many involved with this project. Many agents with Pluto or Uranus in Virgo or both.
• Sun conjunct Regulus - Regulus the fixed star currently at 29 degrees ++ Leo, one of the four royal stars of the zodiac.Regulus commonly associated with fame, wealth, prestige and honours. Regulus now moves from the sign Leo to zero Virgo in 2011, reflecting a conciousness shift, from Ego Consciousness to Global consciousness. The C*I*A very much attuned to this conscious shift, building a greater awareness to the importance of a greater connection to sacred cycles, nature and the treasures of the earth. As we consciously move away from a world dominated by power, money and greed, depicted by Regulus in Leo for the last 2160 years, when Regulus moves into Virgo, we will become more attuned of being dutiful servants to our precious earth, and the new heroes will be those that will do that. The tropical zodiac precesses 1 degree every 72 years backwards, therefore it takes 2160 years to move through a whole sign. 72 x 30 degrees =2160 years.
• The Moon in Aries - appropriate for a start and a begining - separating from North Node in fourth house - opposite Jupiter in 10th- we can see it grow, the potential, strong in the fourth, soulful roots with inspiring big new ideas.

Jeff Jawer’s astrological life began on May 16, 1973, the first time he saw his natal chart. He’s been smitten ever since. Helena is an astrologer and a member of the FAA (Federation of Australian Astrologers) and is completing her Diploma in Applied Astrology with Astro*Synthesis at the Chiron Centre in Melbourne. The motivator, designer and instigator of the C*I*A, the wheel behind the cogs. Agent 12 started the C*I*A with the grand idea that the world needs unity, a grand vision and a plan - that is imaginative, creative, free and inspiring. In it’s own small way Julija hopes the Agency can contribute to raising consciousness, global awareness, unified thought and a better world through the fascinating world of Astrology.

Completing a Diploma in applied astrology from "Astrosynthesis"- Melbourne, Julija wrote her finshing thesis- on the ANIMA MUNDI- in 2005 - which inspired Julija to put her ideas into motion, regardless of how idealistic they may have seemed at the time. She found a few interested agents and started the ball rolling. Agent 12 – contributes to many articles and ideas on the site, organizes C*I*A events and promotes Anima Mundi awareness.
Her specialties are Dream interpretation and guidance and astrological readings with an inspirational flavour. Her  special interests have always been magic, alchemy, visual astrology, the magic of astrology. Her Sag ascendant and Pisces planets reflect a passionate interest in ,the evolution of consciousness, the changing worldview, and how thet shape our universal reality.

According to the authoritative ‘Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy’ 42 was supposedly the answer to the meaning of life, which makes this the mission of agent 42, Ed Tamplin. ET was drawn to the world of astrology from the tender age of ten – proving serious addiction often begins in youth. A huge fan of the night sky, Ed has seven telescopes at the time of writing, and is working toward an observatory. He claims that he can see the nebula of himself (M42 at least) in the sword of the mighty warrior Orion. In the southern hemisphere this appears as the middle of the 'Saucepan' handle – more befitting a Cancerian Sun/Mars conjunction. Along with Sherrynne Dalby ET maintains Sydney’s largest astrology academy the Sirius School of Astrology, which is about as serious as this autobiography gets. Sometimes in the foreground, sometimes in the background, but always present.Since Gemini is so important in my chart, and especially my 4th house Mercury, I decided to go with the agent number 87.66, the number of days in Mercury’s revolution around the Sun. I consider the trine between my 1st house-Aquarian Saturn and 4th house-Gemini Mercury to be the most active aspect in my chart, the one I instinctively go back to. It’s my anchor! I think it explains my love of science, numbers, history, logic, music (since music is a coded language) and to some extent languages (I speak French, English, Spanish, and have good knowledge of spoken Japanese and some Russian, the later mostly because of work), writing, reading, etc. In regards to writing I have recently presented my first completed manuscript to a publisher. Since the story is based on historical facts (13th century southern France), I feel it is also quite in line with this Saturn-Mercury trine.
