The Return of the Goddess
Guardian of the night, Queen of the Heavens
by December 4th 2014
After her sojourn, invisible to us and on her mission behind the Sun, Venus returns to grace our evening skies again. We may feel as though we’ve just come out of the underworld or a battle of survival somehow, but what we have managed to accomplish has been about finding a strength and confidence about ourselves mostly in relationships, with partners, husbands, lovers , bosses and even friends. During this part of our journey, we are stripped ourselves bare to show only our most authentic side of (see the Journey that began 60 days ago below,see next page)
We may still feel somewhat weakened, but ready to go, ready to come out, the battle is over!!! Phew and we can now move on. With the rest of the astrological make up right now, a strengthening Uranus Pluto Square , Uranus and Saturn also squaring each other by 135° it is our call to come out and start shining again and take no more bullshit!.
Venus as an evening star is a much more chill, reflective and easier to get on with type of goddess and archetype as she is much better equipped than before, empowered by the recent underworld experience, she knows much better, feels much deeper and knows much more of what and who she is dedicated to, freer as she has let go of so much. You may not sense this straight away, yet night after night till June 2015 Venus gets brighter in our evening skies as she reinstates herself as the Guardian of the night, the Queen of the heavens again.
Take the Venus journey, it is the most insightful and meaningful, astrological cycle I have found for personal growth and development.
Venus the two sided Goddess: Venus is a 2 sided goddess in more ways than one, she is known either as ;
a morning or an evening star,
visible or invisible,
bright or dim,
fast or slow,
waning or waxing,
ascending or descending,
ruler of Taurus or Libra
and combinations of the above.
VENUS CONJUNCTIONS WITH THE SUN : Astrologers prefer not to call these conjunctions with the Sun inferior or superior, as astronomers do, although they do describe the physical place of Venus at this time. We are much more concerned with the quality of these conjunctions and it is important to remember that one is not deemed more important than the other. One represents a beginning, another a culmination. Although two main differences separate Venus in these outer or inner conjunctions, the interior when Venus is closest to the Earth retrograde, where she is deemed a more earthy and lustful goddess and when in the exterior conjunction position, she is deemed the heavenly or divine goddess visiting the heavenly plane. The two sides of the goddess in ancient Greek times were related to Aphrodite Pandemos or Aphrodite Urania, Aphrodite the equivalent of Venus(Roman) in Greek! Urania, stemming from the connection to the sky God Uranus imbued with a divine spirit and spiritual love, and Aphrodite Pandemos, is a Venus of the people, where she is more lusty in love, earthy and quite appropriately down to earth.
