One of my passions is experiential astrology and I have written, Astrology Alive: A Guide to Experiential Astrology and the Healing Arts that is still available on Amazon. I produced a number of astrodrama theater performances both for astrological conferences and for the general public. My last effort was a dramatic presentation of the myth of Sedna, the environmental Arctic goddess, at ISAR May of 2008. A mask of her took 50 hours to create working with a professional mask maker. (Yes- she is totally amazing, embodied for sure). I now live in Mexico on Lake Chapala and am deeply involved with sustainable issues here – an organic farmer’s market and the growing of Moringa trees for sustainable cash crops for the poor villages around us. Sedna seems to be transforming to Michicihuatl, the Lady of Lake Chapala. As T. Uranus sextiles my Venus/North node in Gemini in the 5th right now, it may be a performance piece is coming to birth.

One spring, several years ago now, I caught an acute case of the astrology bug cured only by voraciously reading my way through stacks of astrology books At first I read solely for my own pure enjoyment, but little by little, as I began to share bits with interested friends and family, reading for pleasure morphed into serious study, eventually leading me to a whole new and wonderful line of work. I officially hung out my shingle in 2009 at the Cancer New Moon and Lunar Eclipse which conjuncted my natal Moon and trined my Scorpio Sun and Mars.
I view astrology primarily as a symbolic language, the planets representing distinct and specific energies that shape — but do not determine — our inner dynamic. Prior to becoming an astrologer, I taught preschool through the primary elementary grades for 11 years, at which point I left teaching to pursue a career in writing and editing. Since 1996, I have worked as a freelance writer, graphic designer, and website developer. I currently work from my home in the “wild woods” of Northern California that I share with my husband and 11-year-old daughter.
On a collective level, I see astrology functioning to help humankind find its “way back” — to remember who we are and regain a humble reverence for the wonder and beauty of the natural world — this web of life of which we are but a small part. Astrology can help us source the innate human need to honor and work with natural cycles, so beautifully illuminated in this ancient art’s sacred geometry and poetic language.

My greater intention in practicing astrology is to share its deep wisdom in order to help us heal the rift that has persisted far too long between Mother Earth and her human children.
