Let’s Make It Happen – 2012 The Year of Astrology
In 2008, the C*I*A – Cosmic Intelligence Agency - initiated a move to make ‘2012 The Year of Astrology’. We discovered it would take years of political lobbying to have 2012 recognized as an official United Nations Year. Therefore we decided to do it ourselves.
Let’s seize this opportunity and take up the challenge to promote all types of astrology, show how vast and all encompassing it is, how many of us follow it, how many of us are inspired by its rich traditions and are awakened and enlivened by its never ending insights.
Why 2012? “2012 Year of Astrology” is about taking the opportunity in a “12″ year strongly associated with Astrology and do what we can to promote, celebrate and articulate the practice of Astrology. To counterbalance the doom the gloom associated with this year, Astrologers have their own tool for navigating the future. Our purpose here is to articulate, celebrate and participate with Astrology playing our role with the shifts and changes upon as all and using Astrology as part of Conscious Global Evolution.
Are you an astrologer? Then come on board! Every astrologer across the globe is invited to participate in this year-long celebration of our ancient, yet very much alive, connection with the cosmos. Whether astrology is your profession or hobby, whether you are just getting started or you’re old hat, this is the year to be out and proud.
No matter if you are a Western, Eastern, Traditional, Modern, Hellenistic, Vedic, Chinese, Mayan, Tibetan, Hindu, Galactic, Spiritual, Humanist, Evolutionary, Cosmo, Uranian or other type of astrologer, you are welcome.
With the collective focus on 2012, let’s grab the chance to build and deepen astrological networks worldwide. The more we share ideas and evolve our field, the more we participate in the great shift in human consciousness. Now’s the chance to spotlight astrology’s unique role in linking humans to the mystery of time; from each small moment to the vast cycles of past, present and future. This is our time! Let’s feature astrology’s rich influence back through history and beyond tomorrow.
The C*I*A will launch this celebration at the FAA conference in Melbourne, Australia, between 19 and 23 January 2012, and will foster a continued celebration throughout the rest of 2012.
The first highlight is International Astrology Day on 20 March 2012. Let’s make this particular Astrology Day one to remember. Get a group of astrology friends together, organise a party, a workshop, a conference or anything that fanfares astrology. Many astrological organizations around the globe, such as AFAN, already put a lot of effort into promoting this day. We encourage you to hook up with your local astrology organisation to support their plans or link in about your own.
A special highlight that will be promoted by the C*I*A, is the Venus transit on 5/6 June 2012, the perfect day for astrologers to band together with others during this Astronomical event. The transit of Venus, which happens when the disc of the planet Venus moves in front of the disc of the Sun, also called the Occultation of Venus is a rare event. There is no doubt that since the last occultation of this pair in 2004 there has been a rise in global concerns in regard to climate change, sustainable energy and the global economy and its efficiency. These transits of Venus occur approximately in the current pattern every 121.5 to 105.5 years, in pairs, 8 years apart and then again only 121.5 or 105.5 years later, with another pair of transits. In June 2004 we had the 1st of this pair and the upcoming transit in June 2012, will be last for another 105.5 years. Join us in honoring this significant event to align our thoughts and global intentions as we reevaluate the core values that drive the Soul of the World, the heart of what we love, honour and respect. We’ll be extending the reach beyond astrology and asking others who value Peace, the sacred, with a great Love for our planet to be involved. We really hope to be able to make the most out of the opportunity with the Venus Mission, to invite as many people, groups and causes to become involved somewhat like the “Harmonic Convergence” in 1987. Let us know how you are using the logo and we will promote your event. Our list of campaign supporters is growing and we’ve dedicated a webpage to it, or you can make your own, create your own logo if you like.
